Resurrection Evening

An evening exploring the resurrection of Jesus.

On Thursday 4th May, we’re having an evening examining the resurrection of Jesus. This follows on from our ‘Suffering World:Loving God?’ night in December. We will have a talk, followed by open discussion and, of course, cake!

Belief in the resurrection of Jesus is arguably the origin of Christianity. It’s the most exciting and important moment of all, with implications well beyond Easter Sunday itself. Yet, the idea that a man came back to life can sound silly and unbelievable. Many of us struggle to believe it or explain it to others.

This talk and discussion will examine this central Christian claim, how the first Christians came to believe it, and what it means to claim that Jesus rose from the dead.
